Man Hanged Himself After Killing His Wife in Bashua

 Commotion in Bashua Community, Boki Local Government Area of Cross River State as a man hanged himself after killing his wife. The reason for this is that he was told that his wife have been cheating on him for a very long time.

According to a Facebook user known as “Martmercy Busaosowo” said, This is the stupid Akwa Ibom man that killed his wife and ended up like this, he hanged himself to death. The man murdered his wife after he heard that she had been sleeping around with other men.

 Meanwhile, some people on social were also saying their own opinion, some were saying it would be better the man divorced his wife instead of this unspeakable act of his. Though, no one knows how he has sacrificed to make it up to her and she ended up cheating on him.

It was gathered that the late man “identified as Akpan” was buried at the suicide spot by the villagers, who said it was a taboo to commit suicide in the land. Report also gathered that Akpan and his wife had five children, all boys.

A source in the village known as Elias Ejue reported that, “After shooting his wife, the man fled into the forest and we organized a search party since on Saturday. It was on Monday that we found his body hanging on a tree in the forest.

He narrated that the man and the wife had lived in the village for many years and have five boys before the ugly incident at the weekend, and that it is a taboo for someone to kill another in the community or even commit suicide. 

According to him, one of his hands was clutching a branch of the tree he committed suicide, perhaps he had an afterthought and was trying to free himself. We buried him right on the spot where he hanged himself in accordance to the tradition of our community.
